Are You as Obsessed as The Texas A&M Coach?

My obsession is with basketball, and I have found some one out there that is just as obsessed with the great sport as I am, he is the head coach at Texas A & M Coach Gillispie. After reading the article in The New York Times, Coach’s ‘Unhealthy’ Obsession Has Led to Success at Texas A&M by Pete Thamel I learned that this is not only noticeable by me but by the world. In the article Pete talks about Coach Gillispie family life, and how he is not married to a women but married to his job, and that he sleeps, eats, and coaches basketball. The article goes on to mention the dedication to his job has paid off, in the sense that he has won championships, gone to the sweet 16 for most of his years there, and that his coaching method is a legend and well known on campus. He is a great coach, keeps his players in line, and as some may think he has a unhealthy obsession, he sees it as his job to give his players the best opportunity possible.
Pete Thamel hit the nail on the head talking about how obsessed coaches at the Division 1 college level are, and how they will do any thing to get their players to the greatnesses they need to be at to win championships. This article goes to show that this is a problem for many people that once you become obsessed with this sport you will lose your family along the way because you have no time for others, you only think about the sport and how you can get better everyday. This is a worldwide obsession that not only players have but the coaches have too, you have to think the best to be the best.
